When uploading content into the Asset Library, NowSignage supports the following file formats:

These formats are fully compatible with the NowSignage Content Management System and can be added to playlists, scheduled to screens, and combined with other assets in your layouts.
⚠️ Important: The NowSignage CMS enforces a file name character limit. Please ensure all file names are kept under 60 characters.
If you attempt to upload a file with a name longer than 60 characters, an on‑screen error message will be displayed.
**Important notes on document and presentation files**
- **PDF files**:
NowSignage does not render PDF files directly on screen. To use PDF content, first export or convert each page to a series of high‑resolution JPG images. Once converted, upload the JPG files into NowSignage and add them to your playlists in the correct order. This approach ensures consistent playback across all supported devices.
- **PowerPoint files (PPT/PPTX)**:
PowerPoint presentations are not supported as native upload formats. You have two recommended options:
1. **Convert slides to images** – Export each slide as a JPG image, upload the images to the Asset Library, then order them in a playlist to mimic the slide deck sequence.
2. **Convert the full presentation to video** – Export the slideshow as an MP4 video (including any timings, transitions, or animations you require), then upload the MP4 file into NowSignage. This is often the best option when you need consistent timing and smooth transitions across all screens.
Using these conversion methods helps ensure that your content plays reliably on all devices, benefits from offline caching, and remains easy to manage within your existing playlists and schedules.
