Installing NowSignage on Philips B-Line SoC Displays

To install NowSignage on Philips B-Line SoC Displays, you will require the following;

Note regarding B-Line professional/hospitality-grade displays

These devices are professional/hospitality-grade displays and sometimes ship with a setting called User Data Clearing enabled by default. This setting is designed to wipe app data when rebooted, and will cause the NowSignage PIN to not be remembered by the device after each reboot.

To resolve this, you will need to disable the User Data Clearing setting via the Professional Menu on each device. Please follow the steps below:

1. Open the Professional Menu

On the TV remote, enter the following key sequence quickly: 3 → 1 → 9 → 7 → 5 → 3 → MUTE

(If this does not work, try: 1 → 2 → 3 → 6 → 5 → 4)

2. Disable User Data Clearing

Navigate to: Professional Menu > Guest Management > User Data Clearing

Set this to Off.

3. Save and exit the menu.

Note: If you cannot locate the User Data Clearing option, look for similarly named settings such as Guest Mode, Hospitality, Privacy, or Factory Reset on Power-Off.

Once this has been disabled, app data including the NowSignage PIN will persist across reboots. You can test this by rebooting the device after the pin entry.
