Pre-Setup:
To install NowSignage on Giada Android media players, you will require the following:
- USB external storage device containing the NowSignage APK
- USB Mouse
Step 1: Download the NowSignage APK

Download the latest NowSignage APK from:
https://cdn.nowsignage.com/android/5.3.20.apk
Step 2: Transfer the APK file to a USB drive.

Copy the downloaded APK file onto a USB drive.
Step 3: Install the NowSignage App on the Giada Player

Insert the USB drive into the Giada Android player.

Depending on the player model, installation methods may vary:

Open the ‘APK Installer’ application, or

Use the ‘File Explorer’ to locate and install the APK manually.

Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the installation.
Step 4: Grant Required Permissions

After installation, launch the NowSignage app.

You will be prompted to allow ‘Display over other apps’ permission — make sure to allow this for the app to function correctly.
Step 5: ⚠️ Perform a Device Restart (Important Step)

Once you reach the NowSignage PIN entry screen:

Press and hold the power button on the Giada player for a few seconds.

Select ‘Restart’ from the power options menu.

⚠️ Important:

You must restart the device using the on-screen option.
-
Do not power off the device by unplugging it at this stage — this can cause issues with the app’s ability to autoboot in the future.

Step 6: Activate the NowSignage App

After the device restarts, the NowSignage app will automatically launch correctly going forward, regardless of how the device is powered on or off.

Enter your NowSignage screen PIN code and click ‘Activate’.
