How To Disable the Google Application on an Allsee device

How to disable the Google application to prevent interference with the NowSignage app, causing it to crash

Pre-Setup:

To perform this action, you will need the following:

  • 1x remote control
  • 1x USB Mouse or Keyboard (optional)

Steps - (7)


  • Step 1
Whilst the screen is displaying the pink android homepage navigate to the circle with 6 buttons at the very bottom and select the ‘OK’ button on the Remote Control to open the Application Tray.

  • Step 2
    Open the ‘Settings’ application.

Select the ‘Apps’ setting.

  • Step 4
Navigate down the app list and select the ‘Google’ application. If you are using the New Remote Control double tap the ‘OK’ button before opening the ‘Google’ application.

  • Step 5

Disable the application by selecting the ‘DISABLE’ option.

Please note: You may need to hold the ‘OK’ button instead of pressing this once on Step 4 if you can’t navigate to the ‘Disable’ button with the arrow keys using the New Remote Control.

Or if using the Old Remote Control, press the ‘Tab’ button.

  • Step 6

Select the ‘DISABLE APP’ option and confirm all the uninstallation instructions.

  • Step 7
    Make sure the app is disabled by checking the button says ‘ENABLE’ as shown below.

Warning - Please ensure to fully reboot the device to update the setting change.

You can confirm the application is disabled on the previous menu to the right of the ‘Google’ application.
