How To Assign Content To A Screen

Learn to create and activate screens in the NowSignage app, covering screen addition, naming, scheduling, licensing, PIN generation, and activation.

Create your screen:

To get started with creating your screen, navigate to the ‘Screens’ tab in the application. Here, you will find the ‘Add Screen+’ button prominently displayed. Click on this button to initiate the screen creation process.

Once you click ‘Add Screen+’, a form will appear prompting you to enter specific details about your new screen. Begin by providing a meaningful name that accurately reflects the purpose of the screen. Next, specify the location where the screen will be deployed; this is essential for organisational purposes and for ensuring the screen is set up in the correct environment.

TIP: Including this information will help you easily identify it later among other screens. 

After entering the name and location, you will be presented with the schedules you have created. Select a schedule you wish to publish on the screen. Once you have filled in all the necessary information, click the 'Create Screen' button to finalise the creation of your screen.

 

Upon successful submission, your new screen will be listed in your screens dashboard, where you can view all screens you have created. The next step is to activate the screen to make it operational. Locate the newly created screen in your dashboard and click the 'Activate' button. Activating the screen will prompt you with an option to apply a license.

 

Once you have applied the license, a unique screen PIN number will be generated and displayed. This PIN is important for accessing and managing your screen.

Enter your PIN into the app

Troubleshooting/FAQ's

Q. I dont have any licenses so unable to generate a PIN for my screen.

A. Please contact your reseller or sales@nowsignage.com who can help add a license to your account. - Knowledge Article.

 

Q. Is there a delay adding new content as I've updated content, but it is not displaying on my screen. 

A. The NowSignage application operates on a polling interval of 5 minutes, meaning it checks for updates every five minutes. If any new content is available, the application will initiate a request to download it during this interval. The time taken to download and display the content may vary based on your network speed.
