Prerequisites

  • Android Device: Running Android 5.1 or higher (preferably Android 8+).
  • TeamViewer Host: Already installed and configured for unattended access.
  • TeamViewer Account: Device assigned for unattended access in your account.

Step-by-Step Installation Guide

1. Verify TeamViewer Host Setup

  • Open the TeamViewer Host app on the Android device.
  • Ensure the device is assigned to your TeamViewer account for unattended access.
  • Confirm the TeamViewer Host add-on (if required) is installed and active.

2. Remote Connection

  • Log into your TeamViewer account on the control device (PC or mobile).
  • Access the assigned Android device from your TeamViewer device list.
  • Initiate the remote control session.

3. Download and Install NowSignage APK

  • Use the remote connection to open a web browser on the Android device.
  • Visit https://cdn.nowsignage.com/android/latest.apk to download the latest NowSignage APK.
  • Once downloaded, locate the APK file in the device’s Downloads folder.
  • Tap the APK file to start installation.
  • If prompted, enable Install from Unknown Sources in the device settings.
  • Proceed with the installation and open the app upon completion.

4. Configure the NowSignage App

  • Permissions: Enable the "Display over other apps" permission if required (especially for Android 10+).
