Mass Management For Menu Boards

We've enhanced the Assign Menu Board mass management action, giving you greater control over how menu boards are assigned across your locations. You can now target specific locations, schedule assignments in advance, and choose whether changes are permanent or temporary.

Search Filters 

You can now search, filter, and select exactly which locations you want to update.

Updated filtering options supports multiple fields, including:

  • Location Name
  • Integration UID
  • Number of Screens
  • Assigned Menu Board

The All Locations option remains available by selecting all screens within the new location table.

How to Use

  1. Navigate to the Menu Boards app
  2. Select Menu Management
  3. Select Locations
  4. Use the search box or filters to locate the required locations. N.B. If using the filter option on the top row of the table, you can filter by Location Name, Integration UID, Number of Screens, Assigned Menu Board
  5. Tick the checkbox next to each location you wish to update, or select All Locations if required.
  6. Choose Assign Board or Remove Board
  7. When assigning or removing a Menu Board, you will be presented with an option to add or remove (depending on which option was chosen) a specific menu board to the selected locations.

Schedule Menu Board Assignments

Menu board assignments can now be scheduled to run at a specific date and time.

  • Leave the schedule field blank to apply immediately.
  • Schedule assignments in advance for future menu changes.
  • Scheduled actions use the configured Project/Profile timezone rather than browser or server time.
  • If the project timezone changes after scheduling, the scheduled time will continue to display and execute correctly.

How to Use

  1. Navigate to the Menu Boards app
  2. Select Menu Management
  3. Select Locations
  4. Use the search box or filters to locate the required locations (If you cannot see an option, please use the scroll bar). N.B. If using the filter option on the top row of the table, you can filter by Location Name, Integration UID, Number of Screens, Assigned Menu Board
  5. Tick the checkbox next to each location you wish to update, or select All Locations if required.
  6. Choose Assign Board or Remove Board
  7. Within the Assign Menu Board window, locate the Schedule section.
  8. Select the required date and time for the assignment to take effect.
  9. Select Assign to save the scheduled action.

 

Permanent or Temporary Assignments

Assignments can now be applied permanently or for a defined period.

  • Permanent assignments remain in place until manually changed.
  • Temporary assignments automatically expire after the configured duration.

The expiry time also respects the configured Project/Profile timezone.

How to Use

  1. During the assignment process, choose either Permanent or Temporary.
  2. If Temporary is selected, specify the required duration or end date.
  3. Complete the assignment.
  4. The menu board will automatically be removed when the temporary period expires.

Manage Scheduled Actions

Scheduled assignments can now be cancelled before they execute.

This allows you to correct or remove scheduled changes before they take effect.

How to Use

  1. Navigate to the Menu Boards app
  2. Select Menu Management
  3. Select Locations
  4. Above the table of locations, there will show a ‘x action scheduled’ box with ‘View
  5. Locate the scheduled menu board assignment.
  6. Select the action.
  7. Choose Delete (If you cannot see the delete option, a small bin icon, please use the scroll option towards the right of the screen).
  8. Confirm the deletion to prevent the scheduled assignment from running.
