Once you have created a Playlist, it can be added to a Schedule to control when and on which days the content is displayed.
Before you begin: You will need to have created both a Playlist and a Schedule before following these steps.
Add a Playlist to a Schedule
- From your NowSignage project, select Schedules from the left-hand menu.
- Select the Schedule you want to edit.
- Select + Add timeslot.
- Select the days you want the Playlist to display.
- Set the From and To times using the Time window.
- Under Choose the content, select Playlists.
- Select the required Playlist from the dropdown.
- Select Save.
Add Multiple Playlists to a Schedule
You can add multiple timeslots to a Schedule if you want different Playlists to display at different times of the day or on different days of the week.
Select + Add timeslot and repeat the process for each additional Playlist.
Schedule Validation
The Schedule interface will highlight certain configuration issues to help prevent an incorrect Schedule from being saved.
If there is an overlapping timeslot, or a Playlist has not been assigned to a timeslot, a red error message will be displayed.
Important: If you see a red error message, review the affected timeslot and correct the Schedule details before continuing.
Editing a Scheduled Playlist
To change a Playlist that has already been added to a Schedule:
- Go to Schedules.
- Select the required Schedule.
- Locate the relevant timeslot.
- Select a different Playlist or make the required changes to the days or Time window.
- Select Save.
Changes to the contents of the Playlist itself should be made from the Playlists area. You do not need to remove and re-add the Playlist to the Schedule after changing its content.
