Permission Overview

OWNER

Every account requires at least one account ‘Owner’. An Owner is the person or persons ultimately responsible for the NowSignage account, has full access to every area, overall authority and control.

PROJECT MANAGER

A Project Manager has full control over assigned projects, with the same edit permissions as an ‘Owner’ but without overall account authority. They can create screens, adjust settings, invite users, install applications, and manage all project areas.

 

CONTENT MANAGER

The ideal role for the persons responsible for the day to day management of the screen content, the Content Manager has access to upload content and create and assign playlists and schedules without the ability to apply or amend any settings.

DESIGNER

The Designer role is perfect for a content creator or graphic designer as this role purely provides access to manage the content library, providing the ability to upload images and videos, organise in folders, rename, edit and delete.

VIEWER

The Viewer role offers view-only access to specific project areas, ensuring transparency and access to key information without edit permissions. Ideal for staff who need to monitor progress, review updates, and stay informed without altering data or settings.

ONDEMAND CONTENT MANAGER

This role allows users to upload, manage, and schedule content for immediate or deployment across designated screens. It empowers support staff to assist with last-minute content updates, ensuring seamless and timely changes without affecting pre-scheduled campaigns.

CUSTOM ROLES

Custom roles allow you to tailor user permissions to suit specific responsibilities within your team. Whether it’s restricting access to certain screens or granting control over specific features, custom roles ensure each user has the right level of access to perform their tasks effectively and securely.
